Default internet speed decreased-plz help
Hi,before 1 month,wn i used to download from ne site(i hav bsnl broadband connec.),d speed used to be abt 150 to 200 kbps.but since 1 month, d speed has decreased n now i can get max speed of 50 kbps.BSNL website shows no change in speed.Wat should i do to get more speed?(der is no virus in pc,i hav scanned for it.also,previously,i dint use ne software for increasin speed.)
Plz help.............THANX

i think you can register a complaint for this issue at your local BSNL office.

They will solve this problem ...

What Is My IP Address? - Bandwidth Speed Test Page

First of all, Go to above link and conduct a speed-test to know your speed.. (speed test at BSNL site is not always correct)
Test it at least three times, at different times in a day.. (Because, the speed fluctuates due to Internet Traffic at various times in a day)

If u get low speed results, then u must file a complaint at the customer care of BSNL.

Ya BSNL speed fluctuates.

Specially speed is slow at night downloading.
Wonder if its deliberate!

Its because at night only most of the people think that speed is more and start off their downloads.

Instead try to download some thing in morning between 4 am to 9 am ...

U r right..
I have a connection with base speed 64 kbps..
But, between 3 AM to 8-9 AM, I'm getting speed of 1.5 mbps

May be 1.5 mbps is nothing for those who have 2 mbps as base speed, but, for me, it's Blazing.. (coz the d/l speed boosts upto 150-170 Kb/s)
I normally get d/l @ 10 Kb/s

Dont promote the news too much or else we will not be able to download it any more at this speed

thanx for ur replies.i hav checked speed at all diff. times.its same.infact,wn traffic is more,speed decreases to 10kbps while in mornin at abt 6-7 or ne other time,speed is betn 30-49 kbps.

bsnl speed- 1668 kbps

waht is my IP n Speed-
Download Speed: 354 kbps (44.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 134 kbps (16.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
