What is it?

A musician's tool. I wanted a tuner for my guitar and violin, plus a metronome to start songs off at the right tempo, and the current S60 programs just didn't work. Hence Musician. It was also created as my very first Python program (see the notes below).

There are polyphonic tuning tones for E, B, G, D and A, enough to tune both guitar and violin. The tones last for a configurable length of time. The metronome will display beats at any tempo from 50 to 220 beats per minute, with an optional 'metronome' sound sample. And a playable mini-piano will let you play out simple melodies.

v1.6 adds left/right/up/down control of the metronome tempo.

This version of Musician is for S60 v2 phones, i.e. everything from the Nokia 6600 onwards.

Smart Settings is designed to protect your phone and make its appearance unique. It combines the possibility to lock the keyboard, prevent from using the phone's 10 digits Master Code in case of lost, customize lock messages and access easily the most common applications (by exactly 2 keystrokes).

Main features description:

Start Menu: It provides a way to customize your phone so that it looks in your own unique way. You can use these set of features for quick access of the your favourite applications. For them you can chose speed keys (1-9). After, these applications will be accessible by the Left Selection Key + Their Speed Key.
Easy Unlock: It allows you to choose the most convenient unlock combination for yourself and to decide whether to disable the default 'Unlock' + *. If you choose to disable it, only the new combination and those who know it will be able to unlock the keyboard. Here you can also create your own message which will be displayed when the keyboard is locked but someone tries to use it. Another feature allows you to set a day period during which the phone will light the display after any key activity. Thus, unlocking keypad in the night will be as easy as in the day.
Auto Lock Options: You can set a keypad auto lock period which prevents the phone from accidental calls. It is possible to choose the applications which deactivate the auto lock. If such application is open, the keyboard won't be locked.
Security: Smart Settings allows you to change the max length of the Phone Lock Code. Normally it should be 5 digits long. But now you will be able to create more secure, up to 9 digits codes. For some S60 phones, there is a special 10 digits Master Security Code. It can be found in the Web and it unlocks the Phone even without the user defined Lock Code. With Smart Settings you can prevent using this code - codes longer than 9 digits won't be accepted by the phone.

Quick Guide:

* Upon successful installation, a "tape" icon appears on the bottom middle of your phone screen.
* Press hotkeys anytime to record, stop, pause and play. You don't need to open Ultimate Voice Recorder in order to use hotkeys.
* Default hotkeys to record, stop, play ans pause are "#0", "#7", "#1" and "#8".
* Or press abc/pen three times to start/stop recording.
* Use left/right key to mark multiple clips for sending.
* Open Ultimate Voice Recorder and press "Options->Settings" to change hotkeys and other options such as recording limit, recording format, automatic recording of phone calls, automatic deletion of clips.
* After your phone powers up, wait until the tape icon appears on the bottom of the phone before using hotkeys! If no tape icon appears after a few minutes, launch Ultimate Voice Recorder and exit, then the tape icon will appear and hotkeys will be ready.
* Set recording limit to 0 if you need unlimited length recording. The actual recording length depends on the free disk space.
* You can also launch Ultimate Voice Recorder directly to perform recording and playbacks.
* Open Ultimate Voice Recorder to browse and edit all the recorded memo and phone call clips.
* Press "Options->Settings" to adjust hidden mode to specify when to show the tape icon - always, never or only while idle.
* To use Nokia PC suite software to copy recorded clips to your PC, open the "c:\nokia\UltimateVR" and "e:\UltimateVR" directories on your phone in the file explorer of the PC suite. All the recorded clips are in those two directories.
* Don't use Nokia PC suite software to delete recorded clips on your phone, use Ultimate Voice Recorder to do so instead.
* Press "Options->help" for detailed user guide.
